Customer Review: Invictus

Ryan Graudin

Little, Brown

Available September 2017

Farway McCarthy is an anomaly. Some would even call him an aberration. He was born outside of time, on his mother’s spaceship the Ab Aeterno. After failing his time-travel exam, he steals a spaceship and with his friends travels through time looking for valuable items to sell on the black market. Far’s life is simple until one day he meets a girl who seems to know him better than he knows himself. And this girl bears a chilling message: history is being erased, events since the beginning of time are disappearing, and Far is the catalyst. Far and his crew must race through time to stop the destruction of history as they know it. Ryan Graudin has written a thrilling novel with a perfect balance of history and science fiction, and any fans of time travel should definitely add Invictus to their reading list.

Ambrose Brody is in a predicament. His father is a cross time dresser (he refuses to wear clothing from this century) and will probably get fired from his job as a teacher. In a turn of events, Ambrose and his best friend get whisked away with a carnival girl on an awesome time travel adventure. However, when they return to their own time they discover that they have messed up the space time continuum. Will they be able to fix time itself? This book is adventure-filled and does actually prove that time travel exists.

Wade and the Scorpion’s Claw by Tony Abbott is a great book. It’s about a time machine that someone wants to steal. So . . . the creator that made the machine, took it apart and gave each valuable piece to a guardian. One of the guardians died. Now his brother has to take care of one of the relics. His wife got stolen by the person that wanted to steal the time machine. Now, he and his son and step daughters have to work together to find their mom and stepmom. I give this book 5 stars because I really like time traveling.
