G.P. Putnam’s Sons Books for Young Readers

$13.99

The Best of Iggy is a really good book. It is definitely one of my favorite books. It is about a boy named Iggy who, with his friends, has a really good idea, but it ends up being the worst idea of all time. Iggy usually isn’t sorry for anything, but this time he was truly
sorry for what he has done. If you want to find out what he does, then you should read this book. In this book there are 20 chapters and 125 pages. This book is a good book for fifth and sixth graders.

Charlie Thorne And The Last Equation is one of my favorite books of all time! It is just absolutely amazing, I couldn’t stop reading this action-packed book with tons of tense scenes and cliffhangers and themes of self-acceptance. Charlie Thorne is a great book for anyone interested in Stuart Gibbs and his works, or just someone who wants a thrilling, on-the-edge-of-your-seat kind of book. I find the strong points in this book are the characters and the action. Though, at the end of the book, the story was almost at its conclusion. So, I’m curious as to where the story will go next. I’m extremely excited for the next installment in the series, and I think this book is an amazing 9.5/10!

The Runaway Princess

Johan Troïanowski

Random House Graphic

$12.99

Available January 21, 2020

The Runaway Princess was a really good graphic novel. I really liked it because the reader gets to interact with it. For example, there were puzzles to help the main character get out of a place. Also, I liked it because there were three different parts of the story where the princess ran away. It is about a princess who finds friends in the woods when she runs away and they all run away from three different people and three different places. In the book there are a lot of pictures, so it is easier to see what is happening in the story. It is also not easy, but is also not too hard. This book is good for middle grade readers, and if you like girly books this is the one for you.

This book is my new favorite. It is full of some good things and some bad things. It is very historical and gives you an insight on how people had to survive during World War II. If you like the I Survived series, then you might like this book. The book has a young girl who struggles to stay alive during the war in France. She is a Jewish girl who is staying hidden from the Germans. She is only alive because of her friend Juliane. He has a disability and can’t walk correctly, but he saved her life. I highly recommend this book.

This book is amazing! It is about three girls named Jamila, Josie, and Francesca and how they all go to a new school. Actually, Francesca goes to a different one, and Josie and Jamila are in a different class, so Jamila has a plan to get them in the same class. This is my new favorite book. I give it a 5 out 5 stars.

I liked this book. I don’t always love graphic novels, but this book was pretty good. From the beginning I could tell the theme. It was the regular I Survived book just in graphic novel form. This book was an easy read. I finished it in a school day.  It was suspenseful and was a good idea. Please make more!

This book was amazing! It is about a girl named Emily who is an orphan. Then, one day the Thorntons come in to the orphanage hoping to find the right little girl. When they arrive back at the mansion with Emily, strange things start to happen… especially when a girl named Kat is around. Kat wants no one except for Emily to know about her. I highly recommend this book if you love horror books. Also, the action in this book starts right away, it doesn’t take forever to start. I would give this book a 4.5 out of 5.

Morse Pond Review: Guts

Raina Telgemeier

Graphix

$12.99

Guts is a great graphic novel continuing from the two other books Raina Telgemeier has written in the series (Smile,
and Sisters). This book is about the hardships of growing up, but also problems that you and I face all the time, such as bullies, best friends moving to a different town and annoying siblings. I personally think this book was amazing. It isn’t that long, so I was able to read it in a half-hour. I really enjoy Raina Telgemeier’s books. I’ve read all of them! I think Raina Telgemeier did a great job writing about the challenges about growing up without getting into too much detail where kids would feel uncomfortable. I also like how Raina writes from what she went through as a kid and a teenager. That makes me relate to the story, and enjoy it more. After reading this book I would give it a ⅘! I hope you take some time to read Guts because you won’t regret it!
