Love, Ish is a amazing book about a girl named Ish. She faces a huge challenge that she might not recover from. Her whole life she has dreamed of going to Mars, so she can escape the real world. Ish might not be able to go to Mars, because on the first day of seventh grade, she is diagnosed with a brain tumor. Her whole world is flipped upside down. This book is heartbreaking and incredible. If you liked Fish in a Tree by Lynda Mullaly Hunt, or The Thing About Jellyfish by Ali Benjamin, you will be sure to like this book. I am sure that I will read and re-read this book over and over again.

~ Jane, age 10, grade 5
