I’ve always loved reading the Spirit Animals series, so when I was offered the chance to review Tales of the Great Beasts I was thrilled! If you’re like me and love this series, than I seriously recommend this book. We all think we know the Four Fallen from the regular books in spirit animals, but do we really? In Tales of the Great Beasts we get the back story on the spirit animals spotlighted in this series: five stories on Uraza the Leopard, Briggan the Wolf, Essix the falcon, and Jhi the panda, and even one about how the Devourer came to be! All of the stories highlight one of the spectacular great beasts, their talisman, their interaction with humans, and how they saw the war; ending with how the four fallen fell and got their namesake, this book is about the heroes who rose to fight for their freedom and the villains who were ready to take over all Erdas. I loved this book so much that I literally couldn’t put it down until the very last page! I hope others will love it too.
